Literacy Volunteers of Greater Saco/Biddeford was awarded a $2,500 grant from the Stephen and Tabitha King Foundation. The funds will be used toward purchasing engaging and relevant reading materials for adult learners in the Greater Saco-Biddeford community. The Adult Literacy Library Project, in collaboration with the Dyer Library in Saco, will provide community access to a new adult literacy collection. The collection will be available at the Dyer Library and at the Literacy Volunteers office on a rotating basis in order to provide adult learners and their volunteer tutors with a choice of private or public access to quality, high-interest reading amterials,supplemental instruction and assessment tools.
