Faces of Literacy: Voices of Courage

Faces of Literacy: Voices of Courage is an educational outreach program of Literacy Volunteers of Maine (LV Maine) designed to raise public awareness that nearly 200,000 Maine adults struggle with reading. The program, which opened with a premier benefit, consists of a statewide photography exhibition, a film, discussion forums and public events that highlight the crucial value of the Maine Literacy Volunteers Network. The Network affiliates that span fourteen Maine counties provide literacy solutions with free and confidential individual tutoring, creating success and hope for thousands of adults.
